November 22, 2013: On this day in 1954, the Humane Society of the United States was established. Happy Humane Society Day! Both of our cats are from shelters, and we’ll never go anywhere else for our companion animals. As for Start Your Own Country Day, it makes me think of Sealand, which is fascinating to me. Although I have to say, I wouldn’t mind being an expatriate to Petsylvania. Bring enough crunchy treats and toys, and you’d be ambassador before you know it.
