I fell down a small research rabbit hole when I spotted the question asked: “Was Paul Bunyan a real person?” Sounds like the consensus is that he’s an amalgamation of a couple of different Canadian lumberjacks, with a heaping helping of exaggeration thrown in.

In other learning, I found out that tau is a mathematical thing that a lot of people think is superior to pi. It has something to do with circumferences of circles, and that’s about all the math learning I’m going to accomplish today. (And if you’re tempted to explain the concept, please feel free to not do that.)

Lastly: flour made from the tapioca root adds a really nice glutinous texture to baked goods. A gluten-free miracle!
