September 28, 2013: A good neighbor always brings food, drink, and a smile. So celebrate them on Good Neighbor Day, when they bring over the brewskis for Drink Beer Day, and some munchies for Strawberry Cream Pie Day. And let’s get serious here for a moment, people. Why are there SO MANY holidays dedicated to cream pies? I’ve come across raspberry, coconut, lemon, and now strawberry. I’m sure there are more. And in the ongoing list of commonplace things I’ve never eaten/drank, let’s add all whipped-style cream pies to the list. What can I say, I have texture issues. (Our favorite churrascaria, Texas de Brazil, has an amazing dense coconut pie; though it’s more like a pecan pie in structure than anything cream-named.)
