September 2, 2014: Of all the flavors out there, I have to wonder why we have a National Blueberry Popsicle Day. I don’t know that I’ve ever actually seen a blueberry Popsicle. We usually only have the orange/grape/cherry combo box in the grocery store; sometimes if we’re lucky, we also get root beer/banana/lemon-lime. But if you could ever find a blueberry one, I bet it’d be cool and refreshing.
Today is also Bowling Shirt Day, which has a veiled and un-findable history. But they’re cool, so I’m cool with celebrating them. Last but not least, it’s Pierce Your Ears Day today. I had mine pierced when I was around 12, with a piercing gun at a place in the mall. I don’t recommend following my lead; the piercings were too low, and piercing guns aren’t the cleanest things in the world. A piercing I got at a tattoo/piercing shop was much cleaner, neater, and straighter. Leave punching permanent holes in your body to trained professionals, not teenagers at the mall.
