October 23, 2013: Aww, National Mole Day makes me really miss the old reality TV show The Mole. Especially when Anderson Cooper hosted. Mole Day is actually the celebration of Avogadro’s Number (6.02 x 1023), a basic measuring unit in chemistry known as a mole. My chemistry teacher in high school had a preserved mole (the animal) in a bottle that he’d bring out whenever we discussed the mole (the measurement), and it was really, really creepy (the entire experience). TV Talk Show Host Day marks Johnny Carson’s birthday, but now celebrates all hosts, daytime or nighttime. And iPod Day marks the day back in 2001 when the first iPod was released. It boggles my mind that it was only 12 years ago, and yet it was 12 whole years ago.
(This pictured talk show would be the quietest thing ever. And yet I would totally still watch it, at least once.)
