November 8, 2013: If you’re going to have a holiday dedicated to pungent foods (and why we have this holiday is still a mystery to me), why does it fall during the part of the year when it’s too cold to open up the windows? Gross. Anyway, I hope you spend Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day making a broccoli, garlic, and shrimp casserole with a heaping helping of stinky cheese that’s been hanging around since October 9th. Today is also Dunce Day, to celebrate those people who stubbornly refuse to learn. Because I guess the other 364 days of the year, we can just openly mock them, like you do. Do they even have dunce caps in schools anymore? I don’t think they were even still around in my school days, but they live on in pop culture to this day.
