May 11, 2014: So today is generally recognized as Twilight Zone Day, although I’m having a very hard time figuring out why. The show itself premiered in October of 1959, so that’s not it. Rod Serling was born on December 25th, so that’s not it. But whatever the reason, I’m all for it. It was a great show that still stands up as quality goods, all these years later. Plus, it inspired one of my favorite Disney rides, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Today is also Salvador Dali’s Birthday; he’d be 110 if he were still alive today. And just think of all the weird, melty, strange paintings he could have created with the extra 25 years (although he passed at age 84, which is still a pretty impressive time).
Today is also Scott Meyer’s Birthday, so a big ol’ happy birthday to my other half!!
