I remain amazed at how many days celebrate variations of the same thing. This time, I’m thinking about cheesecake holidays. We’ve celebrated white chocolate cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, cherry cheesecake, and plain old straight-up cheesecake. I can’t wait to see what flavor variation comes up next.
I’ve always heard that Oreos make a great cheesecake crust (especially compared to graham crackers, which are an abomination). I myself make a cheesecake crust out of ground nuts, usually a mix of almonds, macadamia nuts, and pecans. Tasty!
