March 27, 2014: Yes, yes, I know the actual title of the theme song from Firefly is called “The Ballad of Serenity”. However, tons of people call it “You Can’t Take the Sky from Me”, which puts it firmly (for me) in the weird for Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day. Feel free to name your favorite! Maybe it’s “You Can’t Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd”, that Roger Miller classic. Or perhaps your tastes run more toward “Drop Kick Me Jesus Through the Goalpost of Life”?

Today is also Nathan Fillion’s Birthday, and if you’re not aware of his great acting work as Richard Castle on ABC’s Castle, or as Captain Mal on Firefly, or his majestic turn as Captain Hammer (these are not the hammer) in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, well then, I just don’t know if we can be friends.
