March 24, 2014: What’s that you say? You haven’t seen enough chocolate-based holidays here? Well then, happy National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day! I’m all for the chocolate, but I’m not a fan of raisins. Or at least the regular purple-brown ones. Golden raisins I can tolerate, sometimes. Today is also Harry Houdini’s Birthday, born Erik Weisz on this day way back in 1874. He escaped a lot of amazing things, but was done in by something entirely non-magical: being punched in the appendix. Ouch!
