March 23, 2014: Today is OK Day, marking the day back in 1839 that this abbreviation of the intentionally (and comically) misspelled “oll korrect” was put in print. As for Near Miss Day, it’s this same day in 1989 when an asteroid missed earth by a measly half-million miles. It was practically an action movie that day! As for National Chip and Dip Day, I’ll be celebrating with potato chips and French onion dip, the finest possible chip/dip combo. (Sorry, tortilla chips with salsa and/or guacamole.)
