June 7, 2014: Happy Chocolate Ice Cream Day, if you like that sort of thing. As previously discussed this week on Rocky Road Day, give me vanilla or butter pecan any day. (Or anything with maple. Baskin-Robbins used to make a seasonal flavor called New England Maple Nut that was totes delish.)
It’s also Drawing Day today; some also call it Pencil Day, although the real and true Pencil Day is March 30th, dagnabbit. Besides, you can draw with things other than pencils. So grab a pencil, or a crayon, or a pen, or a stick or charcoal, or whatever your medium of choice may be, and get drawing!
(Today is also the Belmont Stakes, with California Chrome going for the Triple Crown. Not a horse I would have chosen [because I just go by the coolest name, which is how I picked the winner {Orb} in last year’s Kentucky Derby], but it’s always cool to see a sweep of the big three races.) Wow, I just went three asides deep there. Today is a good day.
