June 4, 2014: There’s an argument about the date for National Cheese Day; either it’s today, or it’s January 20th. But really, two days dedicated to cheese, half a year apart? I’m all for celebrating them both. Because I love the everlovin’ snot out of cheese. It’s also Cognac Day, so I figured my block of well-aged cheese would be a dapper sort, with waxed mustache and monocle, because cognac always strikes me as a thing that fancy types drink. It’s a type of brandy, and I can tell you here in another episode of Food Confessions that I’ve never had either brandy or port. Although I didn’t start drinking wine until last year, so I’m still catching up.
