June 3, 2014: National Egg Day; American Space Walk Day

June 3, 2014: Happy National Egg Day! They’re useful in a thousand and one delicious things. Although I’ve never been much of one for eggs on their own. I’ve tried them scrambled, fried, and omelette-ified, and just don’t like the texture of any of them. Oh well, I can always put them in cookies and ice cream.

Today is also American Space Walk Day. The Gemini IV mission launched on this day back in 1965, and during that mission’s time in space, astronaut Ed White did the first ever space walk. Let’s hope this little egg is as successful as White, and doesn’t crack under the pressure.
