Today is also Captain Kangaroo’s Birthday (Bob Keeshan, born today in 1927). Kids, this is the kind of thing we watched on TV when we were young. None of your Teletubbies or Doodlebops or Wiggles or Yo Gabba Gabba; we had an old man in a bad hairpiece being pelted in the head with ping pong balls. AND WE LIKED IT.
