July 25, 2014: There are tons of ice cream and hot dog holidays in July. Here’s another one: National Hot Fudge Sundae Day! I’ve had a hot fudge sundae before, but they’re not my favorite things in the world. I’d rather have the vanilla ice cream straight up, without all the frippery on top.

The last Friday of July is also Talk In an Elevator Day, which makes my introverted soul cringe. Small talk with strangers is always difficult, and having to do it while being trapped in a little box that could plunge to the ground at any moment is doubly difficult. I have no idea why we need to celebrate a holiday like this, but there you go.
