Oh, Comic Sans. Bane to all designers, friend to grandparents worldwide. When checking out Comic Sans Day, I learned that it was originally designed for a piece of software called Microsoft Bob. I only have the vaguest misty memory of Bob, and besides which, apparently the font wasn’t complete in time for the release of Bob, so they just threw it into the next Windows 95 update. And now here we are, 20 years later.
Also, news: Holiday Doodles will be going on hiatus for a month in mid-July. I figured it was a good time to take a month off while the kids were out of school and people were taking their summer vacations.
