January 18, 2014: Today, we celebrate two creative geniuses with two very different genres. Winnie the Pooh Day celebrates the birthday of A. A. Milne (1882), while Thesaurus Day is for Peter Mark Roget (1779), also born today. Roget’s first thesaurus was printed in 1852, and he’s been in print ever since. As for Pooh, I opted to go with the original Shepard-style artwork; I think it’s really cute and charming. (And adorable, appealing, fetching, lovely, pleasant, and likeable.)
