February 6, 2014: No, it’s not really about waterfowl with injured legs; Lame Duck Day celebrates elected officials who are still on office, but are on their way out, soon to be replaced by someone we voted for back in November.
National Frozen Yogurt Day honors the big faker, who always tries to make you think it’s just as good as soft-serve ice cream. (Hint: it’s not.) Oddly enough, there will be a second National Frozen Yogurt Day on June 4th, because clearly that stuff needs lots of support. The only way I can see fit to eat FroYo is to combine it with Canadian Maple Syrup Day, and pour some good hearty maple over the top. (Mind you, the USA had its own National Maple Syrup Day back on December 17th. Now it’s Canada’s time to shine.)
