August 28, 2014: And here is the last of the red-hot reruns. It’s odd to me how many turnover holidays there are. Or maybe that’s just because I always want to draw whatever the fruit is, doing a handstand or a cartwheel. Maybe I need to come up with some new gag for “turnover” … or, nah. Anyhoo, today is Cherry Turnover Day, so here’s the traditional flipping fruit. It’s also National Bow Tie Day today, which I find to be charming and dapper and a refreshing alternative to the usual necktie. Unless it’s paired with a fedora or a trilby, in which case the wearer is a monster who must be destroyed.
