A little something fun to celebrate every day!

August 18, 2014: Cupcake Day; Soft Serve Ice Cream Day; Bad Poetry Day

August 18, 2014: Happy Monday, everyone! Now, I know there’s many a Cupcake Day out there, but this one is four our friends in Australia, in support of the RSPCA. So it’s one of the more important baked-goods holidays. So bypass the prawns on the barbie, Aussies, and go have a cupcake to help out the critters.

It’s also Soft Serve Ice Cream Day today, and if you had to ask me whether I prefer soft serve or the scoopy kind, I don’t know that I could give an answer. Yes, they’re both ice creams, but they’re just so different, you know? It’s almost like they’re two different desserts. (Though me being me, I’ll pick vanilla in both, hands down.) Last but not least, it’s Bad Poetry Day. I know that some would say that all poetry is bad poetry, but … I’m sure there must be good poetry out there somewhere. Right?

(There’s a Missy Meyer out there who writes poems. They’re about the pain and unhappiness of high school. I hope in the few years since she escaped from the wretched hive of scum and villainy known as high school, she’s become a happier person.)
