A little something fun to celebrate every day!

April 21, 2014: Kindergarten Day; Peeps Day; Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day

April 21, 2014: Kindergarten Day marks the 1783 birthday ofFriedrich Fröbel, the dude who created the concept. It’s also Peeps Day, which is always the day after Easter. Go get some now, they’re probably at least 50% off! (I like my Peeps when they’re more stale, anyway.) Lastly, it’s Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day, and I have to confess — I’ve had chocolate, and I’ve had cashews, but I’ve never had chocolate-covered cashews. I guess I should remedy that, because they really do sound tasty.

A reader asked that I also mention that today is the first annual International Bookcrossing Day. It looks like a kind of Where’s George for books, which is a pretty cool concept. So get a unique ID for some of your extra books, and leave them out there for the world to find!
