There have been, like, three noodle-based holidays this month. What is it about October that brings the pasta to the forefront?
I’ve been a pizza maker more than once in my career. The best of those jobs was in college, where I worked the late-night shift in the dorm cafeteria. It was just two of us back there in an otherwise deserted industrial kitchen, making whatever pizzas we felt like for the other students to buy by the slice. We got along well, and liked the same kinds of music, so it was never a bad shift. (I think we played Sting or The Police at least once every single night.)
